Each Makito X encoder (available in both H.264 and HEVC configurations) is equipped to transport secure, HD video over any network at a latency as low as 55 ms. With the implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) protocol within Haivision’s Secure Reliable Transport (SRT), the Makito X encoder ensures secure video content delivery even on congested or unreliable networks. It provides recovery from packet loss using forward error correction (FEC) or SRT with an adjustable receive buffer, enabling the fine-tuning of its performance for varying network conditions.

The Makito X4 Video Encoder is the perfect companion to the four Makito X encoders. Its quad-channel configuration allows for live cooperation with the field contributions, return feeds, and remote production. The Makito X4 Decoder delivers exceptional decoding performance, capable of handling up to four different 1080p50/60 HD streams or a single 2160p50/60 4K UHD stream over IP. Supporting 16 channels of digital stereo audio per decode, it ensures high-quality output for immersive viewing experiences.
